Instructions:
Pre-Wash all Ribbons, Dry and Iron on Silk Setting.
Cut a piece of Lightweight Wadding or Pelon the size
of the designs for both items or 1 item if you are
only making one item.  Add this to the fabric
once all your Thread Work has been completed,
otherwise it makes it too difficult for stitching.

Centres of Mauve Daisies -
Place the small piece of fabric provided in the
smaller hoop and mark with a water erasable pen
 ( 2) circles 1 cm. Diameter.

With 2 strands of Teal, 1 strand of gold cotton thread,
fill these circles with French Knots. After completing
both remove from the hoop and cut them out
leaving just under 1 cm. border around the knots.
With matching sewing thread and small tacking stitches,
gather this up and stitch underneath the knots
( best to have double thread for strength).
This forms the button for the centre of the daisy.
Keep aside until you have completed the other
ribbon embroidery.

Taking a water erasable pen or chalk, trace the
design through  from the pattern sheet provided.
Should you not have a Light box, a well lit  window
will also do the trick. Tape your pattern to the
window and place the fabric over it.
DO NOT CUT OUT YOUR FABRIC NOW.
LEAVE UNTIL ALL EMBROIDERY HAS BEEN
DONE, OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
USE A HOOP.

Embroidery Instructions:

       1.   First work the gold stems in Stem Stitch and
Lazy Daisy Leaves.
2.    Stem Stitch the branch of the Gold Ribbon Fern,
which is in the  same colour thread.

3. Teal thread Stem Stitch the word "Needle"
using 2 Strands  of Teal Thread for the Chain Stitch
and then whipped with 1 Strand of Metallic Gold.

4. The actual needle emblem is Stem Stitched,
with an open Lazy Daisy Stitch for the eye
of the Needle. Now that all the Thread Work is
completed, place the fabric with wadding
attached into the larger hoop.

 Progress to the ribbons.
1. The small daisies are worked in 4 mm.
Burgundy Ribbon in a circle. Place a bronze bead
in the centre when finished.
Thread on 4 mm. Teal Ribbon and complete
the blue flowers in Detached Chain Stitch
then add the yellow glass beads.

2. Continue the Gold Leaves in Ribbon Stitch.
Lastly with the 7 mm. Mauve Ribbon work the
Ribbon Stitches in a circle around the centre
marking.  ( The Cosmos Tutorial will aid in
positioning each petal).

At times some stitches may be crossing over
another which adds to the effect. At this time
you can add the French Knot Button you
have made earlier, make sure your Fabric is in
the hoop and give the double sewing cotton
a firm pull, so it sits snuggly against your ribbon.
On the pincushion add the Bee Charm sitting on
the Mauve daisy using thread to match
the mauve ribbon so the stitching will not show.

the opening closed, with Cream Thread once you
are satisfied that you have enough filling.

down slightly. Using the Teal Thread.

have it as one piece. )

the centre marking to the outside and keep
